Justification

Midterm Test

SynchronEyes was designed to change student and teacher behavior. The midterm test gauged whether or not this change in behavior directly affects student performance.

Systematic Observation Checklist

The observation checklist was used to help the teacher convert his observations on the use of the technology in the class setting into a collective summary. This questionaire is designed to be a qualitative research tool that will allow for teachers to write about their experiences with the technology after it has been implemented. The difference between this measurement tool and the Likert survey is to let teachers express unstructured opinions about the technology.

Likert Survey

The Likert Survey is used to measure the teacher's attitude before and after the implementation of the software. This type of survey is used to get respondents to indicate their degree of agreement or disagreement. I wanted to create a survey that dealt with the specifics of the software that I could give to the teacher who is implemeting the technology. I also wanted to create an instrument that I could use to give to the other three teachers in the school that are using this software for the first time. This would provide me with a quantatative measurement of the satisfaction level for its use.
