In the Business Applications class, there was a midterm test given at the end of 9 weeks into the course. This midterm exam was designed to cover six objectives that have been covered to date in the class. The midterm results showed a significant improvement of 17 points from the previous semester before SynchronEyes was installed.

Cooperative Work Outcome Students will be able to design a brochure advertising a fictitious company using a software application and propose a plan for its dissemination. Group Project Rubric Increase in class average was 8 points

In Objective 2 students apply their knowledge learned to create a new work product. This work product was a brochure that advertises a fictitious company. The measurement tool is a rubric that measures student performance against stated goals.  Class performance as based upon the rubric increased by 8 percentage points.

Improved on-task behavior The teachers will observe students staying on task and encounter fewer problems launching applications for the class. Systematic Observation Checklist Teachers observed students paying attention more and also felt that they saved time in class.

Objective 3 was intended to examine teacher observations of student behaviors after the software was installed. The observation checklist was designed to determine if there were any changes in student's multitasking activties. The checklist was given to 3 teachers who were implementing the software in order to gain a broader view of teacher's observations. Based upon the checklist, there were significant changes in student behavior as a result of SynchonEyes.

Teacher Satisfaction The teachers will demonstrate that they are satisfied with the technology by scoring an 80% satisfaction rate on a Likert scale survey. Likert Scale Survey Likert Scale Survey results showed a 90% satisfaction rate.

In Objective 4, a Likert survey was used to measure relative advantage.  Teachers must see the relative advantage of a tool if it is to be used by that teacher in the future. This measurement tool was also given to 3 teachers. The Likert survey results indicated that teachers did in fact see this software as a valuable tool. All three teachers stated that the software was effective in getting students to discontinue the distracting behaviors that are detremintal to the class. All three also indicated that they would recommend this software to other teachers.
